the best sources of world-wide gay travel information online,
although there are many local guides which may have more
relevant information for your destination. If you're looking
for a local city guide, a search on Google for "Gay
Cityname" will usually produce results but also check GayGuide.net which
is a directory of local guides. Also
you can find city, regional
and worldwide printed guide books.

A comprehensive searchable directory of local online guides.
Extensive list of web-based local city and country guides in locations
worldwide. Good for finding local resources if you're traveling.
The
Guide Online
Online version of a printed free magazine distributed in gay bars and clubs
worldwide. It provides fairly accurate and detailed descriptions of places
to go to in major cities around the world. It tends to list "twinkie" bars
more than senior bars but some "gentlemen's" bars do get mentioned.
OutandAbout
As well as producing a monthly printed magazine, their
website includes downloadable Masterfiles of major gay destinations worldwide
at a cost of $10. These include in-depth reviews of accommodations, bars,
dining and general tourist info. Subscribers to the magazine get a discount
on the cost of the Masterfiles.
PlanetOut
Travel
Part of a group that includes Gay.com and OutandAbout. Their travel section
includes a searchable data base of locations from OutandAbout Masterfiles.
Includes fairly detailed reviews of accommodations, bars and dining venues.

Provides online newsletter and print guides to major gay destinations,
although these seem to be sponsored by advertisers in the main.

Wide coverage of major cities and gay destinations in United States and
Canada. Maps are enhanced with local information and a directory of businesses,
bars, organizations, and accommodations. Online download of maps in PDF
format is free as are the maps themselves on location. You may order printed
versions at an extremely low price from the site.
Friends
The Gaymap
This German company produces free advertising-sponsored maps of major
European destinations and a few outside Europe such as Thailand and Australia.
Their maps indicate which bars are for younger guys but not older.
Free to download in PDF format
from their site but online versions do not include the
address information.
Pinkmaps.com
Provides information for the gay & lesbian traveler in the USA (CA),
Australia, China, Singapore, Thailand. Maps Include live theatre, restaurants,
bars, clubs, saunas, community groups and accommodation venues.
Maps are viewable on website but details are only available on printed
versions which can be purchased online.

gay travel destinations in detail. Online version can be downloaded
for a small cost ($4.95) but is a very large PDF file.
Out&About
Essential reading for the Gay traveler and those in the gay travel industry.
Out&About provides up-to-date information on the latest hot spots
as well as in-depth articles covering popular destinations in detail,
including accurate ratings and reviews of gay hotels.
The 16 page monthly magazine is available by subscription only but they
have also started to produce printed guides based on the magazine editorial.

GayRes Specialist booking company for gay and gay-friendly hotels
who will ensure you get the double bed you booked without
raised eyebrows at the front desk! Their "Rainbow Concierge" gay
guide has a fairly good list of places but no details or
reviews.

A gay travelogue site. Gay men & women write articles about their experiences
traveling to various locales. They also offer insight on hotels, restaurants,
