One of the few TV ads to ever feature an senior gay couple.
A touching ad about a real-life couple, each over 70 years old,
who had been together for 40 years. The tagline is, "Shouldn't
everyone grow old with someone?"

Colonel
An older man wakes in the morning, does his pushups, brushes
his teeth and gets dressed in his milatry uniform.
The screen then shows a single word, "freedom," which
momentarily seems to be a patriotic ad, but it is then followed
by a shot of the man's bed -- with another man of his age
in it.

Duell
Two cowboys -- one older, one younger -- slowly walking toward
each other as members of the town watch nervously. The two
men stare each other down, with hands near their guns as they
get closer. Suddenly the music changes from threatening to
romantic and the two embrace for a dramatic kiss.

This widely-liked European commercial has already been seen
by many, thanks to the power of the Internet, and won the
"Gayest Commercial of All Time" Award in 2001 from visitors
of gay.com and PlanetOut

Paint
A young man and woman enter their bedroom as its being painted
bright red by two older men. The couple suddenly become amorous
falling onto the bed. One of the painters then notices the couple,
touches the fresh paint and then looks to his painting partner
and smiles. The other smiles back. A narrator then says, "Colors
that change the way you feel." They continue painting but romantically
grab each others' hands as the other couple continues on the
bed. It is a rare look at mature men as gay, and handles it
in a completely non-threatening way equal to the straight couple. |
