Located in the historic Ford Factory Square, this small bar bearing the name of Henry Ford's famous car has been serving up drinks for years. Personable bartenders and great conversation are the draw here -- though the occasional drag shows and karaoke provide entertainment, as well. There are even video games and Georgia lotto tickets to play. The clientele leans toward older gay men, but all are welcome in this bar that is apart from the usual Midtown scene.

This small neighborhood gay bar attracts a low-key yet flirtatious bunch of older local men. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, a nice mix with the friendly bartenders. If music is not already playing, feel free to pop quarters into the well-stocked jukebox. Though Scandals is comparatively smaller than other bars around town, it still manages to draw in people for hosted events throughout the entire week. Pool tournaments on Wednesday and Karaoke on Thursday nights are among the favorite activities.

Faces II Tavern and Restaurant

It is said that the 19th century building currently occupied by Faces is the oldest building to be continuously used as a tavern in Savannah. This may be a legend, but it is quite fitting of the small, neighborhood bar on Lincoln Street. The wood ceilings are low here. The floors creak. And the fireplace just adds to the old world atmosphere. Yes, the crowd tends to be more mature. And yes, it does tend to be a "boys only" affair. But, it is wrong to call it, derisively as some have, "the wrinkle room." Plenty of twenty-something men make their way to Faces for mirth and fine conversation, which are never old here. And, tiny Faces is also the only bar with an outdoor veranda, albeit perhaps better called a small outdoor porch, for quiet conversation in the fresh air.

Report Oct 2000: A friendly and cozy bar.(I didn't look at the Restaurant). Nice bar, nice people. I was not cruising but I'd guess it might be useful for that.
