I don't list bars in Thailand for the simple reason that so many of them cater for mature gay men but I would also add that there continues to be extensive prostitution in Thailand and a resulting huge AIDS problem.
Many of these younger prostitutes are "sold" into this and there are paedophiles who exploit them as a result, although the authorities have started to clamp down on some of the sex tourists in recent years and introduce AIDS awareness programs.
That said, Thailand is a beautiful country and the people are generally very welcoming of foreigners.
