Donald
Rumsfeld - US
Secretary of State
We might not all agree with his policies but at least the man
delivering the bad news is good looking.
Donald H. Rumsfeld was sworn in as the 21st Secretary of Defense
on January 20, 2001. Before assuming his present post, the former
Navy pilot had also served as the 13th Secretary of Defense, White
House Chief of Staff, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, U.S. Congressman
and chief executive officer of two Fortune 500 companies.
Rumsfeld, now 69, was the youngest secretary of defense in history,
serving under President Ford from 1975-77. The dynamic, hard-charging
“Rummy” has moved from being a young-turk legislator in the 1960s
to a key official in three Republican administrations and finally
a corporate executive
who turned around two major firms.

He was first elected to Congress in 1984, becoming the first Republican
to represent southern Arizona since statehood. Jim is one of eight
Members of Congress from Arizona and ranks 67th in seniority in
the House.
Jim is the acknowledged Republican
leader for free trade and open markets, an impassioned advocate
of Social Security reform including the creation of personal accounts,
and a fierce proponent of smaller government, lower taxes and
more individual responsibility.
In addition to the above, he has

foreign-born partners for immigration to the U.S and
a bill to ban spam email.

Paul Hogan
- The Butler on the "Joe Millionare" reality TV show
Paul is a 52 year old
Australian, former diplomat and divorced father of 2 teenage children.
He has resided in the United States for the past 10 years and
is soon to apply for American citizenship. His adopted hometown
is in the Adirondack region of northern New York State but is
currently residing in Los Angeles and is seriously contemplating
relocating there.
Paul very recently gained notoriety
for his role as “the Butler” in the Fox Networks reality television
hit, “Joe Millionaire”. A Butler/ estate manager by profession,
Paul was recruited through the International Guild of Butlers,
Naples Florida, by the production company, Rocket Science Laboratories,
Los Angeles, to run the chateau in France where “Joe Millionaire”
was staged and filmed. He was employed in a truly “hands on” position
and responsible for the domestic and household sides of the chateau.
He was to have had only minor and
incidental “on screen” appearances. As production commenced, the
producers began to note Paul’s remarkably relaxed manner in front
of the cameras, his dry wit and sense of self and very quickly
realized they had found a “natural”.
So the humble butler soon found
himself not only the host, but also the presenter of the program.

Lou
Gestner - Chairman of IBM
Louis V. Gerstner, Jr. has been chairman of the board of IBM Corporation
since 1993. He served as chief executive officer of IBM from 1993
until March 2002. When he took the helm, IBM was in dire straits.
Although full of brainiacs who could build super-computers, it was
hemorrhaging money, losing more than $13 billion in two years. Its
share of the mainframe market had plummeted by 50 percent and thousands
of employees had left.
When he left, IBM was once again in the black (the nearly $8 billion
profit in 2001 marked the eighth straight year in the plus column)
and back in the ring as the heavyweight to beat. Gerstner had convinced
the highly intellectual, individualistic, $80 billion working culture
at IBM to work as a team. In recognition of his efforts on behalf
of public education, as well as his business accomplishments, Mr.
Gerstner was awarded the designation of honorary Knight of the British
Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in June 2001.
