Comments: This bar in the Nile Hilton Hotel is not an official
gay bars, but when I went there on Thursday night around 10 pm, I was surprised
to see a big gay crowd. This place has some people cruising every day, but
after 9 pm, before that people go to the health club in the hotel, where
they have a sauna ,massage,steam room and a dip pool. It usually busy in
the afternoon.
Note
Due to the raids, arrests, torture
and prosecution of gays in Egypt over the past few years, many traditional
cruising areas have become dangerous due to the number of plain-clothes
policemen who patrol them and try to entrap people -even to the extent
of entrapping them via internet chart-rooms.
In the main this persecution is applied to the local population
but you need to understand the risks before you get involved.
